Banana Boat Ride

Hold on tight as a banana-shaped inflatable is towed by a speedboat across the waves! This family-friendly ride (for 4–6 people) costs around ₹500 per trip. It runs daily from early morning (except monsoon).

Jet Ski

For thrills, rent a jet ski and zip across the water at about ₹499 for a short ride. Helmets and life jackets are provided. It's a quick 5–10 minute adrenaline rush against the backdrop of the beach and sunset.

Parasailing

Soar up to 200 feet above the sea attached to a parasail canopy. Prices start near ₹999 for a 10–15 minute flight. You ascend from the water or shore and glide peacefully back down with panoramic views of the coast.

Snorkeling & Kayaking

If you prefer to stay near the surface, join a guided snorkeling boat (often ~₹6,000 for up to 5 people) to spot fish nearshore. Or rent a kayak to paddle quietly along Murudeshwar's coastline and hidden coves (self-paddle rates vary).

Gokarna (80 km north)

A laid-back pilgrimage beach town. Famous spots are Om Beach, Kudle Beach and the Mahabaleshwar Temple. It's about a 2–2.5 hour drive from Murudeshwar.

Honnavar (26 km north)

A coastal town known for Nakhuda Beach and boat rides. The drive is only ~25–30 minutes.

Mirjan Fort (near Honnavar)

About 56 km southwest of Murudeshwar. This 15th-century sea fort has crumbling walls and greenery. (It's also 30 km from Honnavar.)

Yana Caves (85 km inland)

One of Uttara Kannada's most unique sites. Two towering black limestone pillars with hidden temples, located ~1.5 hours from Murudeshwar. A moderate trek leads through forest to the caves.

Malpe Beach (Udupi, 100 km south)

A picturesque beach with St. Mary's Island boat tours. It's about a 2-hour drive from Murudeshwar.

Baindur (30 km south)

Known for its historic temples and a serene beach. Worth a quick visit en route to Udupi.
